Here at Acura of Laurel, we want all of our friends and customers to stay safe during the cold winter months. One way to do so is by keeping a winter survival kit in your vehicle. It's also important to winterize your vehicle with the right coolant, tires and an inspection.
Every winter survival kit should include a blanket at bare minimum. You have to keep warm until help arrives if your vehicle breaks down. Emergency mylar thermal blankets are relatively cheap and won't take up much space. They can even fit into your glove box. A fully-charged cellphone is always a good thing to have too.
Every kit should include a flashlight with fresh batteries. It's also a good idea to have some basic medicines, and a supply of any specific necessary medicines you may need. A small supply of bottled water and high-calorie snacks can certainly come in handy too.
